The Mankato Area Youth Wrestling Club has been in operation for over 25 years serving Greater Mankato, North Mankato and the surrounding area. Practices consist of skill training, technique, conditioning and “live” wrestling. This will be the 7th season Mankato East and West Youth Programs have merged to provide a healthy outlet for young people, teaching the basic instruction in the sport of wrestling.  

Safety and meaningful involvement are the primary concerns for all participants, and we encourage parents to be involved with our program to ensure that we provide a positive experience for all participants.  Mankato East and West coaching staffs, as well as a number of high school and collegiate wrestlers will provide instruction and run the practices. 

Regular Season 
     Cost: $100 (3rd-6th grade); $50 (K-2nd grade)
* There will be an option to add the tournament season for $50 if your athlete wishes to continue. 
*Tournament Season is preparation for district, regional and state tournaments. 

Regular Season + Tournament Season (15 Weeks) 
     Cost: $150

Dates: Mondays and Thursdays-Grades 3-6th from 6:00-7:30pm

Dates: Tuesdays- Grades K-2nd from 6:00-7:00pm

Location: Mankato East High School (2600 Hoffman Road)

Mustang Singlet Policy

All wrestlers will receive a Mustang Singlet for a $50 deposit.

If the singlet is returned in good condition by April 30th, you will be fully reimbursed the $50.

Wrestlers should dress appropriately for physical activity. Appropriate attire consists of t-shirt and shorts or if preferred (but not required) wrestling singlets. Wrestling shoes are also recommended but not required. T-shirts and shorts should not have buttons, zippers or be too loose so as to cause danger to either yourself or others.
